Do you have someone in your life that is very difficult to shop for?

For me, it’s my dad.  His hobbies are skiing and carpentry, both of which come with a million accessories and possible gift ideas.  But my dad has more ski equipment and apparel than anyone I know and a garage full of tools, tool accessories, and accessories for those accessories.   For years every birthday, Christmas and Father’s Day I would procrastinate and procrastinate hoping that some divine idea would come to me in my sleep and it would be the perfect gift.  Alas, that never happened, and the majority of my gifts to dad were neither thoughtful or memorable.  Until one year, I got the bright idea to detail his work truck for Father’s Day.

He loved it.  His truck had never been so clean, and it made him laugh when someone offered to buy it because it looked so new.  I’d never thought that a truck detail would be a gift my dad would appreciate, because he’s not a car guy by any means, and all his trucks always looked like…well, work trucks.   

Now, every year, I no longer get uncomfortable when thinking about what to get my dad for Father’s Day.  I detail his truck, it’s practical and doesn’t put anymore junk in his garage.  And every year it’s a gift he looks forward to. 

Personal stories aside, the reason I mention all of this is because this month, in honor of Father’s Day we are officially launching the sale of our auto detail gift cards. 

While an auto detail might seem like a rather unusual thing to gift someone, that’s actually what makes it such a great gift.  It’s unique, it’s memorable, and it’s something anyone with a pair of car keys can appreciate. 

All your recipient has to do is pick up the phone and call us to redeem their gift.  We’ll travel to their location and detail their vehicle as long as they are located in either Bellevue, Hailey, Ketchum, or Sun Valley Idaho.
